Wanted: Egg Donor

Considering how modern the world we have today, some impossibilities have reached possibilities, unimaginable realized and technology has found its way to go beyond what humans were incapable of doing before. One issue that has so far gaining controversies in morality, religion and legality is egg donation. They say end should always justify the mean but some people can’t help but use the opportunity for personal gain. I don’t want to sound judgmental but I look at the issue with a positive outlook. I think this opportunity of giving the gift of life should be taken with extreme care and precaution. I’ve found some websites like familycreations.net an internationally recognized organization wherein they deal with the donation process with a very high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality. It is a fully licensed and aimed to help both the donors and the recipients. Egg donation is a rewarding process but the criteria are strict. It’s not as simple as blood donation and even more complicated than sperm donation because women just don’t produce eggs as much as men’s sperm. To be an egg donor, one must be healthy, non smoking and between the ages of 21 to 29. Donations are either free or paid.

Women and the Dangers of Diabetes

Having diabetes for women is way different than men. One of the biggest reasons is because of the fact that men don’t have premenstrual symptoms and menstrual cycle like women has. It plays a big part for women suffering from diabetes because instabilities in hormone levels take into place through the menstrual cycle and these fluctuations can affect the blood sugar control. When estrogen levels are obviously elevated, a woman’s body may become resistant to its own insulin or injected insulin for women that already have the sickness. Many women find their blood sugar tends to be high 3-5 days before, during or after their periods. It was suggested that since everyone is diverse, the only way to administer blood sugars in a situation where sensitivity to insulin changes is to test and record blood sugars four or more times a day the week before, during and after your period for at least 2 or 3 months to find your own pattern. You can use Ascensia Glucose or any other medical strips, as well as blood sugar monitors so it would be easier to do. This should allow women to adjust their insulin doses and carbohydrates intake both prior to and during this time to better control your blood sugar.

Walking The Runway

The funniest and at the same time, the sorriest thing happened in our fashion show the other day due to a very unusual incident that made us all remember it for the rest of our lives. Our head designer had a fashion show held in a mall and all of us were doing our thing, being busy and all that, when the incident occurred. Our head designer told me that he was suffering from an irritable bowel syndrome and he had been having constipation for a couple of days. I decided to give him the last laxative pill that I have in my bag because I also had that a couple of weeks before. When we were already having the show going, he just could not hold his composure because the laxative has already taken its effect on his body and he can’t go out to the ramp to walk with his models. In the end, he decided to just have me walk the ramp with the models while he run towards the nearest bathroom to do the deed. I was just really laughing when I walked out the ramp. I told him not to take it yet but I guess he was just excited to take them that he immediately took it even though he knew that he is going out the ramp.
