Cultured Pearls for Cultured Women

Pearls, in general, are formed naturally where the simplest process would be for a clam to produce it and people get them, as children would say it. But the pearls that we see right now, being manufactured in to all kinds of jewelry are not like how nature would produce them, hence culturing of pearls come in, where Mikimoto Kokichi had been one of the pioneers of this kind of process that people all around the world do nowadays. And who wouldn’t do such a thing? After the discovery that pearls can actually be cultured, Mikimoto Pearls have been able to harvest tons of pearls, compared to the old fashioned way of diving for those mollusks and force them open to get a pearl, where you wouldn’t even be able to know if the one that you’re taking is valuable or not. Pearls have become an essential part of the fashion industry, as well as the entertainment industry because it can easily create a sophisticated kind of fashion amongst women, and the best people to look at are Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox to name a few of those Hollywood celebrities who really love wearing those precious, round jewels.

Brazilian for a Gift

I know it’s a bit early but I’m trying to find some nice bikinis for my girlfriend because her birthday is in June and I think it would be a nice gift to give her this coming summer. I’m doing this as early as now because of course, I don’t know much about bikinis and I need all the time in the world to choose which is better for her. When it comes to size, it shouldn’t be that hard to find one for her since she is slim and her body isn’t too little nor too big. She has a nice shape and I think most of the mannequins in the stores or shops use the same size that she has. The design will be the big challenge in here. I’d go for something safe like buying a plain green bikini since it’s her favorite color, but then again, I think she would appreciate it more if I look for something that she would actually like because of the designs.

One of her friends told me to look for Brazilian bikinis for the style because she said it would definitely look good on her. I checked out the internet for some information about it since I don’t know how those Brazilian bikinis look like and I think I would still need to make a decision because there are a lot of styles to choose from…

Confessions of a fashionista

Here are some very good tips for fashionista beginners.. Enjoy!

1 . Know your skin complexion – you have to know what skin complexion you have since everything you will wear after will depend on your skin tone. From your make up, to jewelry, to clothes, shoes and more. This is where we will judge if a yellow gold jewellery will suit you or not. But worry not, silver is always IN and sterling silver jewelry doesn’t need to match any complexion. Silver is always on the safe side for accessories. And if the character you’re pursuing looks no way like you, then maybe you should think twice. But then again, there isn’t a law against that.

2 . Make-up – this is always essential for every womanl into fashion. Because going without make-up just never seems right, you will tend to look mediocre and non-fictional at all (since you are aiming for more sophisticated and mature look here). These most basic items: foundation, concealer, loose powder, oil film, eyeliner, make-up brushes/sponges, make-up remover, eyebrow pencil, lipstick/lip balm. It will depend on your personality, the event, time of the day and more consideration involved. Remember, the lesser the better.

3. Clothes – while you can buy pre-made clothes at stores like H&M, Mango, and more.. it is always best to look for the appropriate fabric youself and have them personally tailored. This makes better fit to your body and that alones makes it look better and you sure have the unique style. And it is much cheaper if you have good eyes for fabric.

Just one more advice, being a fashionista doesn’t mean you have to spend lots of money. Some people get discounts by looking for wholesale retailers where people usually buy wholesale jewelry or fabrics in bulk for bigger discounts.

Walking The Runway

The funniest and at the same time, the sorriest thing happened in our fashion show the other day due to a very unusual incident that made us all remember it for the rest of our lives. Our head designer had a fashion show held in a mall and all of us were doing our thing, being busy and all that, when the incident occurred. Our head designer told me that he was suffering from an irritable bowel syndrome and he had been having constipation for a couple of days. I decided to give him the last laxative pill that I have in my bag because I also had that a couple of weeks before. When we were already having the show going, he just could not hold his composure because the laxative has already taken its effect on his body and he can’t go out to the ramp to walk with his models. In the end, he decided to just have me walk the ramp with the models while he run towards the nearest bathroom to do the deed. I was just really laughing when I walked out the ramp. I told him not to take it yet but I guess he was just excited to take them that he immediately took it even though he knew that he is going out the ramp.

Fashion Killer

Reality TV shows has become a hit in almost anywhere in the world, even the most conservative of countries has patronized this new breed of entertainment. One of the hits are the shows that deals with the latest fashion, from hair, make-up, wardrobe and so on. This shows are feeding everyone who watches them the do’s and don’ts of the fashion industry, more and more young talents are emerging and expressing them selves in this genre. Proofs of this are the fashion trends that where popularized during the year 2008, which makes the fashion trends for 2009 a well anticipated one.

But this doesn’t come without a down side, this sort of shows gives the viewers a mentality that the stuff they see on TV are the only things that matters, making every traditional clothing a bad style, if this continues, our cultural identity will slowly fade and possibly replaced by what we think is cool, just because its on TV.

Special Day

Soon to be a bride? or atleast get married? Well lets all admit that the most anticipated in wedding events is the bride, and that usually white thing that she wears. Wedding gowns are a must if you’re getting married western style; it’s like the main ingredient besides the bride and groom. Women usually go crazy on what kind of wedding gown their going to wear; do they go for the long elegant tacky ones? Short and flirty? Or ones that are just right? Why go crazy about a dress that you’ll just wear ones? That’s the reason it only happens once, well sometimes twice, or even trice. But the point is that it is a special day that all your family will be witnessing, that goes for both sides, you would want everything to be memorable and if possible perfect, well it wont hurt to have a few flaws that would spice things more in some occasions.

Well whatever the occasion maybe, let us all remember that the celebration is the reason for dress not the other way around. For all we know it doesn’t usually matter if were all dressed well, what really matters is the time we all spend and appreciate in those events specially if it’s a family celebration.

Celebrity line

Many of us think that being a celebrity is the best thing that can happen to anybody. What they’re not aware of is that being popular comes with a price. If you are a celebrity you are considered as a public property, always on the watch of critics who are not afraid to hurt your feelings in any way, taking note of every step that you take, make a wrong move like wearing something unusual to some, you’ll be named worst dresser celebrity and that’ll be the talk of the town for days, or even weeks.

But if you play the cards right, this industry can transform you to someone you’ve only dreamed of. Being able to access events your not even invited into, oh they’ll be more than welcome to have you in, newest things on the market are in your grasp, more to that, you are an icon, the things that you wear is the latest fashion. Well celebrities wont be popular forever, there will always be a peak to their career, wherein some how they all go down the drain for sometime, that’s why maybe some celebs do crazy stuff, to catapult their career. Because we all know that good or bad publicity, it’s still publicity, and will be talked about by the media.

Gossipy world

Who is not familiar with Victoria Beckham fashion disaster? Or the Olsen twins eating disorder and of course Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend, entertainment industry is a gossipy world, most of the time it is all exaggerated just to make a scoop out of it, that is because the interest of the general public is the best asset for the media to capture a huge audience. Money flows out of this playful gossips, they don’t care who goes down the drain for as long as they bring in profit. Well that is the reality that we have to accept in this world. Cycles that create lost and very often win. Well for all that’s worth engaging in the entertainment industry it is expected that being a public property is a downside of being popular.

Most of the celebrities who survive this never ending storm of gossips and critics are those who carry it well, keeping it professional, well it is their profession and their success do rely on the general public. So the way you react to such issues is the judgment day for every celebrity’s career. And for the public, well our job is to decide on who is worth keeping in the screen of our TV’s.
